An educational and healing center designed especially for people to learn to tap into their own inner source of wisdom and deepen their spirituality, relationships, health, intuition, self-esteem and passion!

Our quest begins externally, for we are taught happiness is laughter and outer joy. As we embark on our own life's journey, we discover happiness is that internal stillness...that inner peace that makes us smile for no reason at all...that simple magic of everyday life that we have neglected to notice due to incessant responsibilities...that butterfly that circles around us with passion. Our lives begin to simplify and we begin to grow exponentially...INSIDE! Only then are we able to appreciate and be a part of the everyday Divinity that surrounds us.

About Awakening

As we walk this Earth, we have been exposed to many diverse perspectives throughout our lives. We have lived as children, parents, siblings, friends, spouses, entrepreneurs, leaders....and in most cases, everything we have done has been with love and without expectations of gratitude. We have continuously multi-tasked, accomplished the impossible, sacrificed ourselves for those we love, become extremely creative to meet ever pending needs, and emerged victorious...yet not fully satisfied. Many of us who have tried to live a genuine life giving everything we can have come to a place where we feel something is missing. We can't quite put our finger on it, but we know there must be something else to make us feel "complete." As we end our daily roles, as we finally sit with ourselves at the conclusion of a successful day, there is a part of us that begins to search. Many times we do not know where to start, what to do, what role models to follow...and with time this search becomes a deep cry for attention...attention to our soul!

In the present we have come to realize that we are not limited to our humanness, and that rather than viewing ourselves as a human having ephemeral spiritual experiences, we are spiritual beings having a human experience. Our wisdom is much greater than that of our human world, provided we remember our soul essence and accept the true nature of our being. This is not a dogma or a religion, but rather a way of life...a way to search and eventually fulfill that missing part by opening our hearts and minds, by having the desire to explore beyond boundaries set forth by our external world and delving into the magnificence of our own internal garden. The rewards are infinite, including feeling complete, powerful, peaceful and free.

Why Now?

Our Earth is changing, and the Cultural Revolution that is upon us leaves us with the following choice: we either actively participate in shaping our new world or we continue being a part of a model of destruction, war and exploitation. According to American Lives, Inc.---an opinion polling company---there are 50 million people in the United States who are sparking social transformation...people who have broken out of the cultural trance and are creating effective change in the world. This is at least 20% of the total population of the United States, and similar percentages are emerging in other countries around the globe. They call us Cultural Creatives. We are approaching great change in this time of globalization, accelerating technologies and a deteriorating planetary ecology. According to Peter Drucker, "Every few hundred years in Western history there occurs a sharp transformation. Within a few short decades, society---its world view, its basic values, its social and political structures, its arts, its key institutions---rearranges itself. And the people born then cannot even imagine a world in which their grandparents lived and into which their own parents were born. We are currently living through such a transformation." The Cultural Creatives certainly offer a more hopeful future and a healthier, wiser culture...one that lives in harmony with each other and with the world around them.

Why the 'Feminine Path'?
We are entering a time where the path of the feminine is the key to moving into a new renaissance. Cultural Creative males and females embrace what has been termed as "women's issues" and "women's values". These include feeling empathy and sympathy for others, seeing personal experiences and stories as important ways of learning, embracing an ethic of caring, taking better care of our children and families, and improving relationships in all areas of life. So not only are we yearning to feel "complete", we must also step up to the leadership role that is necessary to make this world a better place for all of us to live in...especially our children's children. It isn't just about finding what is missing, but also about being active cultural agents in shaping this world into its new caring form. As Gandhi said, "You must be the change that you wish to see in the world." In order to be this change, we must embrace a new way of living and learn new ways for realizing our full potential. To attain this full potential we must reach deep within and find that profound wisdom our soul has harvested for its eternity. Only then will we feel "complete and whole," and be able to contribute with our full beings to making our reality on Earth ecstatically beautiful!

Energy Medicine & Healing

The spiritual path also takes us on a journey of self-healing, where we begin to understand our chosen lessons based on patterns we identify throughout our life, and where the wounds we heal become our greatest teachers. The lighter we become in our road to awakening, the more able we are to grasp our soul’s desires and define our mission in life.

The Maya recognize that we have 4 bodies: physical, emotional, mental and energetic. The energetic body or energy field contains an archive of all our personal memories, and physical or emotional traumas from our past may be stored as imprints in it. These imprints predispose us to recreate painful dramas and events, affect our moods, influence our emotional and physical well-being, and can depress our immune system. Energy Medicine works at erasing or clearing the imprints of disease from our energy body, thus returning the person back to health. Energy Medicine also addresses other issues such as soul loss, nostalgia and grief, energetic blockages, and energy body (chakra) balancing. When our energies are brought into harmony, our body flourishes and provides a soil for our soul to blossom.
All dis-ease or illness begins at the energetic level and therefore within our Energy Body. If we know that 98% of our interactions are energetic while 2% are matter, where should we focus? Energy Medicine addresses the source of a given situation, regardless of whether the manifestation is emotional, psychological and/or physical. Healing at the energetic level is immediate, although its manifestation at the physical level is more gradual. We all have an innate wisdom about how to heal ourselves. We just need to learn how to access it.
Awakening the Soul is also designed to assist you in this journey of mending the self by offering individual healing sessions with its highly qualified Energy Medicine practitioners. Healing sessions are available either remotely or in person at the Fort Lauderdale (Florida) headquarters location. All healing sessions must be scheduled in advance. The duration of the session depends on the issue the individual wishes to heal, and will be determined by the healer. Each session is scheduled on an hourly basis. Curriculum, Lectures & Events

Awakening the Soul will be present in selected Latin American and United States cities. We have developed extraordinary teachings thoughtfully arranged to guide you in your spiritual awakening journey. The dynamic curriculum is offered in three different approaches.  First is the “Spiritual Awakening Program”, which consists of 3-day modules; second is the “Two Day Intensives’ Program”, offering two full days and usually offered on weekends; the third one presents “One Day Intensives”, consisting of full day programs.  They are each described in greater detail below, so that you can assess which one is right for you. 

A. Core Curriculum – The Spiritual Awakening Program

This approach consists of six distinct themes, each one symbolizing a building block on your road to discovering your own inner beauty and wisdom. They will be taught in five modules of 3 days each. Each 3-day session consists of full day teachings on Friday and Saturday, and half day on Sunday. In order to allow for understanding and integration, subsequent modules will be conducted every 3 to 4 months. Each of the six themes is briefly described below, followed by the five teaching modules.

Description of Themes

Energy Management and the Steps to Spiritual Awakening — learn how a world made entirely of energy affects the way you feel, think and live, and by learning how to manage those energies you can create health, abundance and bliss. You will also learn the steps to spiritual awakening and how to identify each one, as well as experience several of these steps through beautiful mystical practices.

The Energy Body and The Chakra System — learn about your energy body as the holder of your physical body’s blueprint for health, and how its main organs—the chakras—relate to specific physical organs and to specific psychological and/or emotional issues. Become proactive in the maintenance of your optimum health. In addition, learning to manage your chakras will help you advance in your path to spiritual awakening.

Balancing Feminine and Masculine Energies — learn to balance your own feminine and masculine energies within, so that you can manifest balance throughout your life (relationships, work, personal life, family). We must insure that this balance sustains your soul and not the busyness of your mind. You will emerge firmly grounded on Earth, while at the same time have the ability to maximize Cosmic energies flowing daily into you.

Shedding Your Past — learn to let go of your past and of experiences that still weigh heavily on you, feeling lighter and gaining greater understanding of your soul’s lessons. Your story does not define who you are today or who you can become tomorrow! We will energetically face the victim, release limiting emotions, open the heart fully, face the shadow, and shed our own skin. (work done in two consecutive modules).

Dreaming Your Future — learn to be an active co-creator of your future by utilizing powerful techniques that allow you to ‘dream your world into reality.’ You will also learn to differentiate between dreams and illusions, so that you energize only that which will nurture you.

Facing Your Fears — learn to deal with your own fears so that they no longer hold you from becoming who you truly are and from manifesting your dreams. As we face and release our fears, all that energy that we had trapped in them becomes available to us so that we can create absolute ecstasy in our lives.

Spirituality into Every Day Life — learn to integrate your spiritual journey’s learnings and tools into your day to day, living a life filled with harmony and joy. We choose inner peace instead of stress in every moment we are alive!

Teaching Modules

B. Two Day Intensives

The second approach offers a number of two-day intensives, each one concentrating on a specific topic.  There are five two-day intensives.  They are taught in bi-monthly intervals and generally held on a weekend.  As with the three-day program, each one builds on the previous one so that you may advance on your spiritual awakening path.  You must complete all five intensives in order to go on to the “Mastery Program”.  The two-day intensives are listed below.

C. One Day Intensives

This approach offers several full day intensives, each one concentrating on a specific theme.  There are eleven one-day intensives, and you may complete the program by taking at least eight of them.  Please note that two of them are a continuation of the previous intensive.  One day intensives are taught in monthly or bi-monthly intervals, and are generally conducted on either Saturday or Sunday.  Each intensive builds on the previous one, in order to assist you on your spiritual awakening path.  The ones with an asterisk are required for those willing to go on with to the “Mastery Program”.  Please see a list of one-day intensives below.

D. The Mastery Program – Shamanism & Energy Medicine

NOTE: Prerequisite: Completion of “The Spiritual Awakening Program”, or five “Two Day Intensives”, or eight “One Day Intensives”

After completing either the initial five modules of “The Spiritual Awakening Program”, the five “Two Day Intensives”, or the eight of the “One Day Intensives”, certain students interested in “Shamanism and Energy Medicine” are given the option of continuing into the Mastery Program. Awakening the Soul reserves the right to select participants into this special curriculum. The teachings will be sacred and very intense, demanding strong commitment to an ancient and mystical spiritual discipline. This commitment includes purity of intent and impeccability, for each person will embark on a path of amazing spiritual power. The Energy Medicine portion is designed to make you aware and to teach you profound energy healing techniques rooted in the wisdom of our ancestors. You will learn to utilize spirit allies or helpers to go deep into your practice.

The Mastery Program follows the traditional shamanic Medicine Wheel, consisting of four intensive workshops, each one addressing one of the four directions (South, West, North, and East). Each workshop has a duration of 5 days. Subsequent workshops will be held every 5 to 6 months. The Mastery level is only available in English, and is taught within the United States. There is required reading and homework for each direction.

And remember... shamanism is a way of life... a discipline... where we are intimately connected and nurtured by Mother Earth, and in turn we become her caretakers. We pledge to respect all of Mother Earth’s relations (all that lives within her)!

E. Individual Lectures

Awakening the Soul also offers a variety of individualized two-hour, three-hour and four-hour lectures. These are developed based on the different needs of the various groups requesting them. Meet the Founder
One of the greatest differentiating factors offered by Awakening the Soul is a trusting and impeccable organization that lives within its integrity. When one is dealing with sustenance for the soul, trust and truth are paramount. This is best illustrated by its founding member, Beatriz M. Orive.

Beatriz M. Orive

Beatriz is a multi-cultural and trilingual entrepreneur born and raised in Guatemala and educated in the United States. She has had an extremely successful business career in Strategic Planning and Strategic Marketing for the past 16 years, working with several Fortune 200 multinational corporations across many diverse industries and obtaining her MBA from Northwestern’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management. At the age of 33 she left Motorola as Vice President of Latin America’s Paging Division to start her own business consulting company, in order to allow time for her spiritual path. During the past 12 years, Beatriz has been immersed in studying many diverse spiritual disciplines as part of her own personal quest to find that “something missing”, finally settling on Energy Medicine and Shamanism within the last 6 to 7 years. She most recently studied at Healing the Light Body, a mystery school. Beatriz has transitioned out of the Corporate Business world and into the arena of Teaching and Healing, delving into her mission and passion by developing Awakening the Soul.
